Flinders University Research Award is now open for applications from suitably qualified students. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by Flinders University.

About the Award

In Adelaide, South Australia, there is a public university called . It was established in 1966, and navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and mapped the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century, was honored in its name.

Over the summer of 2022–2022, the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) of Flinders University will provide Summer Research Awards to undergraduate students.

Students who get these grants will have the chance to participate in a research project under the guidance of a staff member, giving them an inside look at the research process.

The student will receive significant hands-on experience in the design, execution, and analysis of research in their subject as part of the grant.

Benefits of Flinders University Research Award

The Awards will be of up to $1,500 for an approximately 4–6 weeks research project held between December 2022 and February 2022, at a mutually agreed time between the student and supervisor.

The award payment will be paid in a single lump sum payment in January 2022.

Requirements for Flinders University Research Award

Applicants must fulfil all the eligibility criteria listed in the University-wide Summer Research Awards. The following restrictions apply specifically to the CSE Summer Research Awards:

1. The applicant must be a current student at an Australian University and in the 2nd or 3rd year of their undergraduate degree, or equivalent.

2. Intend to enroll in 2022 at an Australian university.

3. Have, by December 2022, completed between 54 – 90 units of a relevant undergraduate degree, or the equivalent.

4. Be available for a placement of a minimum of 4 – 6 weeks between December 2022 and February 2022.

5. Not previously been awarded a CSE Summer Research Award or Scholarship.
