LASU Resumption Date to Continue the 2019/2020 Academic Session.
LASU Resumption Date: The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the resumption date for the continuation of 2019/2021 academic activities. Continue reading to see more details below.
The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, SAN, in an interview with EKO89.7FM on Monday, announced that students of the institution are set to resume.
First to resume for a duration of two months with intensive lectures would be 400, 500 and 600L students. Lectures would hold 9am – 3pm daily.
After which students in 200 and 300 levels are to resume for two months of lectures before the commencement of exams.
To maintain social distancing, lectures for 200 and 300L students would hold as follows:
- Mondays & Wednesdays: 300L
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 200L.
Students would be permitted on Campus only on days that they have lectures.
The VC noted that all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 had been put in place by the management.
“Regular hand washing is very important as the university has provided taps and soap dispenser in the school. The use of face-mask is compulsory.
“In line with the NCDC requirement for medical facilities, Lagos State University has a COVID-19 team to keep the university on its toes in ensuring compliance. Isolation places have been provided in the university. “There are waiting areas and consultations rooms available in the Lagos State University. With the prepared roadmap, Lagos State University is prepared to accommodate students and visitors. Visitors are implored to kindly comply with the laid-down rules,” he said.
