1. Princess Dance Grace Awards

Application Deadline: August 31, 2020.

The Princess Dance Grace Awards or Dance Scholarships is now available to a promising student for tuition toward professional training at a non-profit school with dance as a focused discipline located in the United States. MSU Moorhead scholarship application period typically begins in early October. Scholarships are awarded for the academic year, unless otherwise noted. Students applying for a scholarship at MSUM must meet specific eligibility criteria.

3. CWRU Undergraduate Theater Scholarships:

Application Link: January 15, 2020:

Case Western Reserve University has made merit-based scholarships available for prospective theater students.  Each year, the Department of Theater awards four full-tuition scholarships to students who intend on majoring in theater, and two $10,000 scholarships to students who intend on minoring in theater, or those interested in pursuing theater as an extracurricular activity at CWRU.

4.The Dance Discovery Foundations Scholarship Programs

Application Deadline: May 31th

Dance Discovery Foundations Scholarship Program is designed to support the achievements of young students who are already seriously engaged in the arts and to expose and engage under-served and low-income students to high-quality dance training to those studying at dance or performing arts schools, companies, studios, universities and institutions throughout our Southern California community.”


4. Archibald Rutledge Scholarship Program

Application Deadline: February 4, 2019 

The Archibald Rutledge Scholarship program, named for South Carolina’s first poet laureate, offers twelfth-grade students (enrolled in a public school in South Carolina) the opportunity to compete for a scholarship in creative writing, dance, music, theatre, or visual arts as well as encourages and recognizes academic and artistic excellence among South Carolina students.


5. Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships

The Charles and Lucille King Family Foundation awards scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students studying television and film production.

Awards of up to $7,000 are given to juniors and seniors who demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, and professional potential.

6. The Donna Reed Foundation for the Performing Arts

The Donna Reed Foundation for the Performing Arts has recognized merit and the pursuit of excellence with awards in honor of Iowa actress, Donna Reed.

7.  Educational Theatre Association Thespian Scholarships

Deadline: April or May 2019,

TheEducational Theatre Association Board of Directors Scholarship is a one-time scholarship created with donations by, and in honor of, past and current members of the EDTA Board of Directors.

One applicant will receive a one-time scholarship to be applied to tuition and fees associated with full-time enrollment at an accredited college or university.

This award is intended for undergraduate students currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university who are upcoming sophomores, juniors, or seniors. Upcoming freshman and graduating seniors are not eligible.


8. Florence Lemcke Memorial Scholarship In Fine Arts

Application Deadline: March 2020

The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Washington will award one (1) Scholarship of $1,000.00 for study in Fine Arts. Fine Arts includes Painting, Drawing, Photography, Literature, Architecture, Sculpture, Poetry, Music, Dance, and Drama.


9. Georgia Thespian Scholarships

Application Deadline: Varies

Each year Georgia Thespians offers $24,500 in college scholarships to twelve senior Thespians. Scholarship auditions are held at the Georgia Thespian Conference each year.

Juniors and Seniors may audition for representatives from colleges from many states across the nation. In addition, seniors may interview/audition for the Georgia Thespian Scholarships given each year.


10. John L. Dales Scholarship Fund

Application Deadline: March 15, 2020

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation John L. Dales Scholarship Fund was created in 1973 in honor of the legacy Screen Actors Guild (SAG) longtime Executive Secretary.

Since its creation, the John L. Dales Scholarship has awarded more than $7.5 million in scholarships to over 2,000 SAG-AFTRA members and their dependents.

Scholarships are granted for study at accredited and licensed universities, colleges, junior colleges, adult specialty schools and trade/vocational schools. The number and amount awarded are determined annually by a committee of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.


11. Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters Scholarships

Application Deadline: February 2019

Each year the OAB Education Foundation allocates $1,000 to assist broadcast students in financial need. A student may apply for a maximum of $250 for any financial need that may be impacting the student’s education. A letter from the student’s department head or professor must accompany the request.


12. Vivian Klemz Memorial Scholarship

Application Deadline: May 2nd, 2020

Awarded to enrolled college students (sophomore and above) who are from Ventura County, previously graduated from a Ventura County high school, and are majoring in the arts (performing, visual, fine, creative language arts).

Candidates must be enrolled fulltime in an accredited 4-year college/university or art institution as a candidate for an undergraduate degree in the arts or enrolled in a graduate-level arts program leading to a graduate level degree in the arts.

Demonstration of financial need is not required but will be considered in the selection process. Preference will be given to female applicants in the selection process.


13.  Jean Lee/Jeff Marvin Collegiate Scholarships

Application deadline: Application Closed.

Each year, INSHAPE awards up to six (6) $1,000 academic scholarships to undergraduate students enrolled full-time in an Indiana college/university. (Full time is as defined by the college/university).

The scholarship will be allocated for the purpose of tuition and books for the 2020 – 2021 school year. Applicants must be majoring in health, physical education, recreation, dance, or exercise science.

14.   Mary Benevento/CTAHPERD Scholarship

Application Deadline: Application Closed.

Any male or female student in the graduating class of a high school or preparatory school, who is a citizen of the United States of America and a resident within the State of Connecticut, who plans to engage in the professional studies of health education, physical education, recreation or dance, may file an application.

Such students must plan to pursue a certified program of studies in a collegiate institution in Connecticut offering a Bachelor’s degree.

15. Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship

Application Deadline: Application Closed.

Since 1995, SHAPE America has awarded scholarships to outstanding undergraduate and graduate student members.

The Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship, developed by the past presidents of SHAPE America to honor deserving students, is awarded to three undergraduate students and two graduate students in January of each year. All scholarships are presented at the SHAPE America National Convention & Expo held in the spring.

16. Beall Scholarship

17.   Catherine W. Pierce Scholarship

Application Deadline: Application Closed.

Catherine W. Pierce scholarship was established to support students who are majoring in disciplines within the Arts. Mrs. Pierce had a great interest in helping deserving students pursue the fields of Art or Art History (excluding performing Arts). The award amount is up to $4,500.


18.   Cynthia and Alan Baran Fine Arts and Music Scholarship Fund

Cynthia and Alan Baran have a great passion for the arts. After 25 years in the corporate world, Cynthia followed her passion for the arts and enrolled in fine art classes at two local universities.

Alan’s interest in music, specifically the mandolin and guitar, has provided him with a creative outlet from his work in the nonprofit sector. This Fund was established to help provide an opportunity for young people to pursue their passion early in life in the areas of visual arts and music.

19. Esther Kanagawa Memorial Art Scholarship

Applicants must be Hawaii residents and current high school seniors who plan to major in fine arts at an accredited college or university. They must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher and demonstrate financial need and good character.

20. Randy Pausch Scholarship Fund

This Dance Scholarships is for students of any major who intend to pursue a career in the development of interactive entertainment, such as animation, programming, game design, and music composition. Applicants must be at least sophomores in college and have a minimum 3.3 GPA.
